To help them reach their full potential, HOOP’s brightest students are awarded a scholarship for a local private school.

Each year one HOOP student is awarded a scholarship to attend the local private Vencedor Secondary School. After an application process, the successful student is supported through the payment of school fees, uniforms and books, which are paid for by an independent sponsor. HOOP volunteers continue to help them with their homework and prepare them for exams.

The program ensures that HOOP’s brightest students are able to reach their full potential. One of our recent students, Elizabeth Miriam Huanque Tito, said: “My main dream is to study tourism because I like studying languages and the classes at HOOP really helped me progress my English.”
