Alonso, is a graduate psychologist from Arequipa, is our Director and therefore works to keep HOOP on the trajectory towards growth. He started working here first as a Psychology Coordinator working closely with the community, mainly with mothers and children, providing psychological care and counseling on parenting issues. Alonso has previously worked with HIV patients and teenagers. He attended Universidad Católica San Pablo and has also participated in the psychology research group of the University of LaSalle. He also loves music and shares his passion in the music classes of our school.
Catalina is our Human Resources Coordinator. She studied psychology in the Catholic University San Pablo in Arequipa. The skills she learned as a psychology student gave her the strategies she needs to make the best experience for our volunteers and the team. Before being part of the HOOP team, she was an intern in the psychology department. That first contact with the members of the community encouraged her to keep working for our communities. Her job now is to find the right volunteers and interns, and provide a good space for the team’s development.
Jannik is our Fundraising Coordinator from Germany. He began his journey in HOOP doing an internship as program assistant. After going back to Germany to finish his bachelor degree in management at the Hochschule Bremen, he returned to Arequipa to his current occupation. Jannik is working in forming relationships with local and international organisations to fund and expand HOOPs programs. He loves to see the impacts of his work in the community and is happy to be a part of a purposeful organisation in the cultural hotspot Arequipa.
